right. So I am back! From band fiesta, blocks, and cross country. (and I got back most papers. Feeling quite happy. I studied okay. Oh wells sometimes.)So the coming event would be limelight! oh my itik, that's tomorrow. I am so so so excited. haha esplanade you know. Not everyone can go there, and we are invited by esplanade. Not renting the place.

Limelight wasn't easy. We really sacrificed a lot. After much tears and sleepless nights, we had made a decision. Or that's the school's decision, for it makes the school proud. Anything. Why, we have worked so hard for tomorrow. Because everyone in performing arts longed to perform in esplanade. It was really an honour to be invited to play in there. Since we knew we could not have our annual concert anymore, the whole band worked very very hard for this concert. Including sacrificing every lunch to come for practice, staying back after school on non-cca days, even coming back to school on saturdays. We have decided to work towards our best to prove ourselves a excellent band. These few months' hardwork won't be wasted, I am very sure. We will play our best and enjoy our concert in esplanade.

But I am so afraid I will feel so empty after the concert. The concert kept us busy. After that you'll feel that you lost something. And then it will be passing down.

Let's keep the music going and let everyone feel the nycb spirit! Jiayou bandees! <3 We can do it! Because we are the so bonded as a whole! Eat well(val) and sleep well(val). Be the nice gay!(merry!) tsk poor val.

Yes. Quite. except for the fact that I am stucked between the lines of the quadratic graphs. pening ahh sudah mahu pengsan xD But I managed to finish the algebraic manupulations and linear graphs. Which left me with the other half of the paper. I think my life is quite comfortable. It suits me in almost every way. Except that I have to run run run 2.4 again ._. And again next year and retest again and again ahh. And there's PE. And, there is chinese SIA, history worksheet, bio revision, 2 math worksheets ( actually that's a dozen of them stapled together), CME, OM. But once I get started I actually enjoy doing them. Hmm so it's okay. I am happy about food supply. your own house is just different from boarding school. You can have loads loads of food any time you want. No wonder I gained.. 2kg in a week, or to be exact, 5 days. ahh. Oh dear me. Never mind, I am happy! :D

Alive! I don't want to be buried and let worms eat me and see myself decomposing bit by bit. And it's stinky. Yuck. Although you can smell the earth (depends on how you see that) so deeply you nose is filled with it. I think when we are dead, for goodness know why, the teachers will come up to thr grave and say, 'hey you haven't handed up your bio worksheet, your essay and you reliability question isn't completed. Your artwork got a C, which is quite bad. And I received a complain from the HOD that you have long nails and your socks are too low. Anyways, we had a cleanliness check yesterday, guess what? You guys got E again. That reminds me, the cleanliness rep told me that you did not do your duty. Not that you can do it now, but you have to be more resdponsible. Ahh I have to go back to school. Last thursday was horrible. After CIP I rushed back to school for band, expecting to hear happy chattings, looking forward to join the band in discussions about everything. Instead I am greeted with long awkward silence. The art teacher Mrs Teo was inside, presenting the school's view about our appa XII concert and esplanade concert. They told us that we can't have 2 concerts in a year. I didn't get to hear what she say earlier on, but I am seriously annoyed by the way she carries herself. She doesn't respect us, or I would say anyone in the band room. Her insults of our band, that's unbearable. She said that Appa is not our concert, it's the school's concert. Everything insensitive was said. When she tells us this like, 2 weeks before concert, she expect to be calm and everything. She doesn't allow people to cry -.- That's a bit cruel. I have the feeling that she wants us to give up Appassionata and take esplanade. Because the school can boast about it? She don't consider our feelings at all. Not at all. I think she's being too harsh to us. When everyone built up the spirit for concert and prac-ed so hard for it, coming back for lunch pracs everything! And now you tell us this. It's like you prac-ed for nothing. You feel stupid for feeling so much for NOTHING. It's just different. Appa is a tradition passed down from goodness knows how long ago. And Esplanade is not our own concert. You go there and play and go back. That's all. You get to advertise for the school. WOW. You can't call it Appassionata XII. Anyways, the woman has no manners at all. Ms chong wanted to say something and she talked louder. No that was not correct is it? In the end Ms chong just smiled and kept quiet. Ironic you know. A person that teaches us to be polite sets a bad example in front of everyone. When she left Mr Lim sort of calmed us down and she barged in again and just interrupted him. I guess mr lim's a bit pissed too he kept on talking and she kept on talking. But in the end he gave in, courtesy you know. Let's see what other bandees had to say.

It's something Esplanade holds for us, and everyth will be 'Limelight: Nanyang Concert Band' or 'Limelight: Appassionata XII' it's UNDER esplanade, not sth we do by ourself. the logistics and everything is by US, not by them. and in the end it's still Limelight FEATURING nycb. and we don't make the concert tickets, we don't make the booklet, is this not enough to explain why limelight CANNOT replace our dear appa?

Yay! So today was quite okay, quite a happy day actually. All okay except for a small part of drama lesson. So shall talk about bad things first. Mr Ng stopped us because we laughed when we said the 'ha-i' part. I think he's right, we can't laugh like that during presentation but at least he should let us finish acting before telling us "Okay enough. Your group don't have to present anymore." It's like, quite insulting. That's correct and laughing is our fault but the reason for him to stop us is because he know another group that is better than us so he decided that all right, you don't have to perform anymore, so get lost. It's not that we didn't try or we are not serious kind of thing. Hmm.

Okay so we shall start at 6.00am. So I am supposed to wake up at 6 today because there's national anthem but I was too sleepy I don't evn remember what time I slept yesterday. Luckily my room mate on her light and so. I woke at 6.07. Then went down to eat. We had roti prata today and the kuah is a little... peanut-y. So after that I went to school at around 645. When I reached there's only joyjoy. HAHA and she thought all batchies reached already. But in the end she said she came to study bio. And I realised our class is quite fast in bio. Because joyjoy's class is still in ecology and hey are having ecology quiz today? When our class already studied sexual reproduction and had a quiz already. haha. Enough of bio and all the reproduction. Back to national anthem. Ahma was late today and her hair was, ehem interesting. She said she woke up at 63o and she stays far away? Anyways. When I was going to set up instru I heard tianhui and cheryl talking about the rain. So I decided not to set up haha. So we went back to class for pledge, which is a stoning time for me, waiting for all the singaporeans to remind themselves about their responsibility. Anyways then it was pccg. It was quite interesting. I felt like I am down for a psycological treatment. We talked about controlling emotions and she told us to close our eyes and think of the most upsetting incident that happened. The class was suprisingly serious and quite. I guess our class can be quite and listen to teachers too. Was quite emo when she told us to think about that, everyone should be. And we talked about rational and irrational thinking. I think when people are emo they tend to be irrational. After that was malay. Teacher didn't come so we went to the library to do self study. Then I wanted to look for mrs toh and I went to her office twice but she's not there. Did I mention that yesterday xinyung and me were doing or homework, or for inyung, reading comics on third floor when Mrs Toh saw us and told us to take down all the notices on third and fourth floor. My index finger hurt and we used one whole hour to tear down all of them. The worst ones are the dreamelody ones. They sticked at least 20 pieces of paper on one wall. It's so irritating to see so many identical posters at once. So when I see a spider I hit it using the dreamelody's paper. HAHA *evil* Anyways back to today. After recess was music. We decided to use the spaghetti poem. After that was chinese and we wrote gong1 han2. Then lunch I smuggled my bag up to the library for geog lesson we talked about weatherings. After that chionged to support our creampuffs. Then it's home ec. We did apple crumble. SOOO NICE! Then it's drama and we used baby powder and water to put on our faces. We took a few retarded pictures with our towel costumes on xD.

Then I chionged for band and had no time to wash my face. I just rubbed most of the powder off. After warm ups and tuning, while waiting for others to be tuned, I asked ms chong if I can go and wash my face, because I CANT STAND THE SMELL OF BABY POWDER WITH SOME UNKNOWN CREAM. The cream or the baby powder itself is okay but two of them together, it's just a disaster. Even after I washed my face and neck and hands I still smell of the powder. Even ahma and amanda can smell it. You can imagine how strong it is. And ms chong was quite funny she asked me what's on my face and said she needed to wash her face also. heh actually I know. I saw her rubbing her eyes and she looked tired. Then when I go out she told me to call in percussion, and yes, I realised she knows my name. Maybe it's because she called me so many times to sit straight ( I just can't help it, I have scoliosis and it hurts to sit straight. But I am not as bd as rachel-the-unpokable!). Joy must try to speak up more eh. Tsk tsk. We played funiculi, hymn. Should be that. Can't remember others. Oh, seventy six trombones. I cannot play this song D: Shall go back for lunch pracs more often to prac 76 tbones and hymn. Hymn is actually a really nice song and since now I can play most of it I appreciate it more and more. Nice song (: During the small break between pracs I was playing with this piece of paper on the white board. I blew it and it flew one-arms-length. I realised it's quite short. Anyways the point is, Mr chong saw me and was giving me that kind of want-to-smile look. So paiseh larh and I started laughing myself and she laughed also. Then they talked about the roomings for japan. Ms Chong was like "Who don't have room mate?" Haha because the last one that has no roomie will sleep with her. Then Rosalind said " Ms Chong you are alone" And we all awh-ed. Then Rosalind said 'shit' and ms chong was like " don't always say the shit word" Then rosalind said faeces. HAHA. It's funny right. Ms Chong said the 4th august esplanade thing is most probably on. I am excited! Ooh. Esplanade you know! And huijuan came back today. Ms Chong said she look chao-da. HAH. Huijuan is nice :D and funny. I remember she always wave hi to me last year. And I still remember her playing the timpani but I don't know which song is it. Heh and after school we met huijuan and valentia downstairs. Huijuan gave me crackers haha so sweet she fed me and joyjoy. But she played with my braces. She was poking it with the cracker -- Then came back boarding school for dinner I want watermelon and not papayas. They love to give papayas.
I DON'T HAVE BAND UNIFORM!!!! DDDD: I want band u D: I wil be so out if I am the only one who don't have band u in clarinets. And we are in the front row so odd one out. And what's the point of buying socks if I don't have band u lorh. haiz.

I am going to Kallang tennis centre on Monday from 2pm onwards to support the tennis people. It has 2 way transport so don't worry. [: and then 24th april I am going for CIP at Woodlands Primary School. On some day in april I am going for mordern dance concert. So things to do: Apply permission slip for mordern dance concert and band concert. Okay I shall sign off, seriously, it's quite late already. Bye (:

This would be a short post. So I haven't been blogging for ages. Block tests are over, the jap concert's over too. Oh, band sold egg tarts and chewy cream puffs. I had my shift on the past wednesday. It was quite an interesting experience. Me and junqi ran all the way up to 414 to take 3 'kiap kiap' and wash them and ran down to 'deliver' them to cheryl. Oh I remembered something I wanted to say.

Nanyang Concert Band is having a concert on 13th May 2008, 7.30pm at Siew May auditorium. Ticket price- not confirmed.

So about today. Lessons were quite normal so it would make the posts even more boring if I talk about them, since it's already so boring. But I have to mention Drama. Drama is always interesting. We did some theory today and did around 7 pancakes. Vanessa's toe hit the wall while running and I guess it hurt. Then blah blah blah and it's lunch prac. I went for lunch prac at 12.30pm because I was doing the irritating chinese comprehension and couldn't finish on time so I stayed back to finish it. There was very little people in the band room. I guess they were all downstairs supporting the stall. So I stoled ah ma's file to prac. Then it's two sleeping lessons (history and home econs). But history was okay and I managed to listen quite properly. Oh, talking about listening. I wonder if it's my ears' problem or it's Mr chow speaking too soft. I can't hear a thing he said so I asked him to speak louder. And suprisingly Justina who's sitting beside me can hear him. In the end he came near my desk and speak very loudly so I heard the rest. Maybe I should change seats because I think I need new glasses, seriously. Although I can still see but I can't see the detailed things and it's quite irritating. Anyways, that has to wait. So no point saying now. I have to wait until the next dental appointment so I can go back to Malaysia and get my glasses done. Back to topic. After school was band. We played hymn and hymn and only, hymn. But it turned out quite okay since I sorted out the running notes and is able to play them. Except the fact that it still sound quite unstable. So I shall 下定决心 to prac harder. It's 5 weeks to concert! But I haven't got the band uniform D: Shall not talk about depressing topics. And Ms Chong decided not to sit on her usual chair today and took the chair beside me. Because a screw from her chair flew out again. And her stand was quite gila too. The upper part slided out two times when Ms Chong wanted to lift the stand. It's so hilarious. HAHA xD So, after today's band prac I found hymn more interesting. Oh I remembered something. We played Latin Favourites too. I saw Hot Latin in Amanda's file so I asked Ahma if it's that one and ah ma said 'yes'. So it's quite funny. We played very funny things and found out that we had the wrong score after 3 bars --" Thanks to Ahma. And Ms Chong was very interested to find out what we had at first. AHMA PLAYED THE WRONG SCORE TOO. HAHAHA. After band tianhui and cheryl sort of scolded the band. They said we didn't improve much from last band prac and I felt quite depressed. And blah blah. So 为了 band, I decided to work even harder. Hmm. Oh Ms Chong asked us if we are interested in performing in August for Esplanade. Esplanade invited us to play for them in, of course, esplanade. It's on 4th August. If I didn't hear wrongly. I think it would be very nice to perform in ESPLANADE. It's like performing in a very high class place. So, I felt quite excited and I really hope we are going for it. I hope it doesn't clash with our exam period. Even if we have to work very hard in studies and prac hard for band at the same time I think it's worth it. Ahh. I spent one hour already! Okay then I shall go already. Thanks to those who bothered to tag at my tagboard. But I won't be replying so often now since I have SO SO SO MANY SIAs AND OM and don't-know-very-small-assignments. Okay byebyes (:
